The second aspect is a grant-based program. Not all needs within the home can simply be addressed with donated time and services. Some projects will be larger-scale and cause extreme hazards within the home. By creating a pool of financial resources, we will have the ability to address these needs. The families will be able to request a grant for the hazardous situation. Each request will be closely reviewed to determine the need. If the financial situation, safety situation, and family situation are determined to be critical needs, HōM will contact local businesses and partners and directly contract these businesses for the work required to maintain control of the financial resources.
